In commemoration of Audit month celebration, TOR climaxed the event in May 2025 with a strategic impact workshop organized by its Internal Audit Division at the Nick Royal Hotel in Tema.
The event brought together audit professionals, senior management and key stakeholders in an interactive forum designed to enhance the strategic value of internal audit in the operations of the refinery.
Delivering the opening address on behalf of the Ag. Managing Director, Mr. Edmond Kombat, the Ag. GM-HR & Admin. Mawusi N. Obuo, underscored the vital role internal audit plays in strengthening institutional integrity and sustainability.
“In an industry as complex and risk-sensitive as ours, internal audit is not merely about compliance. It is about safeguarding assets, reinforcing trust, and contributing meaningfully to long-term sustainability,” he noted.
Participants were encouraged to fully participate in the workshop, ask questions, share insights and embrace the opportunity for collective growth.
As TOR concluded its Audit Month celebration, Management reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that build internal capacity and institutional resilience.
