The refinery, in partnership with the Ghana National Fire Service, organized a comprehensive fire training exercise for its safety wardens as part of its commitment to the safety of its employees and assets. The training is also a necessary step for the renewal of the refinery’s fire certificate, which is a mandatory requirement in the industry.

The training which was conducted on the refinery premises in December 2024, was designed to provide the wardens with the necessary knowledge, skills, and confidence to respond effectively in an emergency. It focused on enhancing their capacity to identify potential fire hazards, operate fire extinguishers, and execute evacuation procedures.

The refinery has begun the renewal process of its certificate following the successful completion of the training exercise. TOR is committed to upholding the highest standards of safety in its operations and will continue to conduct regular training and drills for its employees.
