In an effort to enhance collaboration and establish synergies for a more efficient and sustainable downstream energy sector, Mr. Godwin Kudzo Tameklo Esq., the newly appointed Ag. CEO of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), paid a courtesy visit to the refinery in February 2025. The purpose was to better understand the refinery’s operations and explore opportunities for improvement with a focus on some key areas including the refinery’s compliance with industry regulations.
Mr. Tameklo was taken on a tour of the refinery’s facilities, during which he was briefed on its operations, safety protocols and the plans ahead, in the company of some senior officials of the Authority. They also engaged in discussions that focused on identifying opportunities for mutual benefits, and further building synergies that would enhance operational efficiency and contribute to the growth of the sector.
Dr. Sulemana addressed the meeting and expressed appreciation to NPA for the visit. He commended Mr. Tamakloe for the proactive engagement and reaffirmed TOR’s readiness to work with the Authority to build a stronger and more sustainable energy downstream sector.
Mr. Tameklo, for his part, expressed his appreciation for the cordial reception and the opportunity to be apprised on TOR as well as the potential for collaboration. He also pledged NPA’s commitment to working closely with TOR Ltd.
The visit provided a unique opportunity for both organizations to share expertise and, more importantly, for the Ag. CEO of NPA and his team to gain firsthand insights into the refinery’s activities and identify potential areas of collaboration.
