Project Goal: Project will ensure stable power supply for the loading rack and MOP pumps.
Project Status:
The supply and installation of the Electrical facilities at substation is yet to be tendered. Initial proposals received in 2012 were evaluated and Schneider Electric was recommended for award. However, award was not made at the time.
In order to avoid any mishaps to operations at the loading rack and MOP, the project needs to be revived soonest since the existing substation equipment are obsolete and unsafe.
Challenges: Meanwhile there is the need to complete the building that will house the substation. Maintenance is handling the outstanding works on the building however; due to unavailability of funds the project has stalled.
