Hon. John Abdulai Jinapor, Minister of Energy and Green Transition, at the Government Accountability Series held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, applauded TOR’s efforts under the leadership of the Ag. MD, Mr. Edmond Kombat Esq and Ag. DMD, Alhaji Mustapha Batalima Abubakar.
To restore the refinery’s core business and operational capacity, a thorough turnaround maintenance program has been initiated. Additionally, efforts are underway to finalize outstanding audits to reinforce sound corporate governance.
The Minister was upbeat about the refinery’s recovery process, pointing out that management had taken the initiative to use its IGF to finance startup operations; an act he found commendable. He further reiterated government support to TOR’s operational recovery.
TOR remains committed to working diligently towards a successful revitalization of its core business.
