The Commerce Division is made up of the Exports/Imports, MOP, Distribution and IT Departments.
Exports/Imports
This department is in charge of all billing of services, forging strategic alliances with BDCs for the import and export of products, buy-back sales, and revenue budgeting/forecasting.
Movement of Products (MOP)
Movement of Products consists of facilities for the movement of products into appropriate tanks, blending of products, Storage and distribution of same, receiving imported products in appropriate tanks, transfer of products into other terminals, and pipeline lineup & line displacement.
Distribution
The Distribution Department is the link between TOR and the Oil Marketing Companies licensed by the National Petroleum Authority. Its function is loading of products, facilitating swaps between BDCs, Coordinates transfers of products from TOR to other depots, and issuing holding certificates for products.
Information Technology
The department uses state-of-the-art information technology to support all business operations, and divisions as well as provide a platform for all business processes to be completed.
Monitoring & Control
This department’s responsibility is to monitor products, conduct product stock accountability (yields, consumption & losses) do reconciliation of third-party payments, and update the NPA’s portal.
Refinery Optimization
The department is responsible for crude slate and processing of products, market research and intelligence, commercial project development, and interface with other departments and external stakeholders.
Business Development & Trading
This department is in charge of Business Analysis & Development, sales and revenue responsibility, trading and market intelligence, customer profiling and risk assessment, and contract drafting/proposal for oil trading companies/BDCs.
Quality Control
The department provides quality assurance of refined products and commercial services to third parties.
